I’m not really interested in the machinations of British politics, too much presented in story. Mr Allon seems to have lost his way since leaving Mossad.

Great story but predictable.
Had to get the chopper as the character was threaded through out the story.
I am Old School Allon!

Good book but I miss the Mossad, and their players, and how they worked others into their adventures.
Now it’s art and it’s complex intricacies. And more art built on the “Succession” and “ Industry” TV foundation.
Back to Old School Allon and his teams please!
Gabriel Allon

I love Silva’s books! Especially the great Gabriel as a recurring character.
BUT can he transition to an Agatha Christie role? Solving murders?
This was a fun read but it lacked tension and texture.
I’m hoping his next novel has Monsieur Allon back in his rightful place - the Mossad.
Good but not near the best.

So boring. I wrestled through 20% of this book and gave up.

Complex plot that is still somehow easy to follow. Great characters, great story, wonderfully skilled author. Thank you Daniel!
Excellent artistic use of language

An excellent read. The story reached a greater level of complexity than previous books. I also liked the addition of Detective Sargent Peet.
If only D. Silva and G. Allon would live forever…

… we would then periodically be treated to a new, finely crafted adventure. This one is pleasingly complex and involves a number of characters from earlier books. It’s a pleasure to experience them again.
