He comes on strong and fast, but Lucy isn’t having any of that! She cuts him off and tells him there is no way she is ever mating with any male. But Derrick is very patient and persistent. These two are so good together and I love how feisty Lucy is. Can she ever get over her past enough to trust Derrick and his wolf? Time will tell! Great start to a new series!. I’ve previously read this book and let me tell you it’s just as good as the first time I’ve read it. Gorri churns out masterpieces. Shake that sass started me on a very long road and intense love affair with her Dire Wolves. Derrick and Lucy was such a sweet pairing. All of these wolves have their own interesting story to tell and I can’t wait for you all to experience them. I cannot put into words the anticipation that I have waiting for Thor’s story. Gorri truly is putting her fans on the coals waiting for that book. 😉 I always give her grief when I can because her dire wolves are so amazing. At the end a certain someone is hanging around getting under the fur of our sweet Sheila 🤭… that was such a great book that also segues into the Lions if you haven’t read her lions… my lord you truly are missing out on so many good books! This story was a riot to read. While light on a twisty plot, it was entertaining and full of steam as Lucy tries to decide if she should accept Derrick as her mate. Lucy was a riot and these two made me laugh a lot at their interactions and inner monologues. But it does do a good job of keeping me reading to the end to see ho wit all shakes out. And does a good job of introducing a new set of players to come in this series.
