I loved this book. I loved Whitney . I prayed for her as I'm sure most of her fans did, during her hard times. Whitney you gave the world so much. I believe most of us would love to have you back. But just like your "mommy" I believe God wanted you to come home. You are missed and always loved . thank you Mrs Cissy for sharing your daughter with the world... Thank you and God Bless

It took me almost a year to finish the e-book version of Remembering Whitney. The way Whitney's mother tells the story of her life before and after giving birth to her only daughter, Whitney aka Nippy, transports you immediately into their lives and into their hearts. This is a touching, heartfelt story of a mother who did her best to raise her children but when it came to her Nippy you could feel her pride, her angst and her sorrow right down to your soul. Although her world famous daughter is now gone you know from reading this book that there is no love like a mother's love and no strength like that of God. To sum it all up, this is a must read for everyone who ever loved and admired the late Whitney Houston. Her mother's story will have you cheering and crying at the same time but most importantly you will finally get to know Whitney from the perspective of a mother whose time with her precious and gifted daughter was only too brief. What a clear picture into the life of the greatest singers,(Cissy,Whitney), of all time. Moving, emotional, real, and devastating. God needed her beautiful voice in heaven. I so wish now she could of been here longer for her family, I used to wish longer for fans, such as myself, but this book makes me wish longer for her family. Cissy... I first would like to say that I truly miss my diva,my inspiration Whitney Houston. I have been a fan for 24 years and my devotion and love for Whitney will forever be! This book was amazing,it took me sometime to get through it because it has a lot of tear jerkers but it really made me understand who Whitney Elizabeth Houston was. Nobody knows Whitney better than God and her mother. I thank Ms Cissy Houston so much for sharing the reality of her daughter. Whitney is loved and I could not imagine being in Kriss's shoes because like Whitney was to her my mother is my very best friend and I could not fathomed losing her. It takes a special person to understand people like Whitney,just like Whitney was full of life,reserved,sensitive,open hearted and not afraid to back down if need be,reminds me a lot like myself. Thank you God for creating such a wonderful person and Ms Cissy,thank you for teaching your daughter your wonderful talents and sharing her with the world. Gone too soon would be an understatement but Im so happy I was around to witness such timeless talent,no matter how far away Whitney Houston maybe she will always have a special place in my heart.

This book was amazing and was the closure that I was looking for and I am sure I speak for many of her fans. As a fan this book really provided so much relief as a result of the shocking death of Whitney. You need to know that your daughter loved you a lot however, sometimes its easier for us to remain at a distance when we know we are hurting the person that loves us the most. Sorry for your lost.

This book was beautiful, inspirational, and gave insight to the real Whitney Houston. This had to be difficult for Cissy Houston to write as a mother who lost her only daughter. This was definitely a page turner and recommended for anyone to read. I am still wiping the tears from my eyes.

Momma Houston, what a phenomenal memoir of a phenomenal family that have been through the storms, but God! I just read and loved it! I love and am praying for you. This memoir is well written and takes you on an inner heart journey with the Houston family.

I began reading this book because I'm a loyal Whitney Houston fan. I loved Whitney Houston and I wanted to get her mother's perspective on her life and career... Boy, did I get that! This was a GREAT book! I laughed and cried. At one point I forgot I was reading a book. I hope and pray that Cissy gets exactly what she prays for, comfort and guidance. God bless the Houston Family!
