5 Stars. Oh was this a great one. Lehane has developed two amazing characters and manages to find the most evil opponents possible. K&J are so well written, glad to see some good for them. The books are special because they’re truly original. Bring on the next please.
  • Ridiculous and TOTALLY implausible

UGH! Don't waste your money or your time on this one. It's so bad I'm wondering if Lehane used a ghostwriter. Just an awful, really stupid, and painful read.

Dennis Lehane does dark with the best of them…yet somehow he manages to keep sight of a sunrise up ahead.
  • Dennis Lehane is the best writer there is.

Dennis Lehane is to mystery fiction what George Pelecanos is to crime-drama screenwriting and urban gangster crime-fiction. He has the ability to instantly draw me in and keep me drawn in for hundreds of pages. What I love about Sacred is that Lehane does not relentlessly drag me through twist after twist, but rather builds higher and higher on a single developed plot involving an exceptionally wily bunch of schemers.
  • What a disappointment!

After reading other Lehane books this turned out to be an incredible let down. The conclusion was terrible just awful!
