Wow and wow again. How the world could let this happen is so sad. So sad the innocents, the talented, the good people who were terrified and brutally murdered. This type story should be read and discussed more (and by younger) people so they know & understand how to grow up more loving, less militant, more joined to others in this world. A well-told story by a survivor, a man with a special will to live and to let others know what actually happened in those years. A must read!

Hard to read at times, but this is real, mostly true and the world seems to have forgotten.

Moving….inspiring… I’ve always been fascinated with the time period of WW2, and especially the Holocaust. I’ve read plenty of fiction and non-fiction on the subject. I’m not sure how a book can so beautifully intertwine fiction and reality. A true love story but a story of unwavering hope during so much uncertainly. I laughed and cried. May this book be another way to never forget history, but to also be inspired by it.

This book was absolutely everything I’ve ever wanted in a book. It was real. It was honest. It made me extremely emotional every way. I give this book as presents to other people. It’s a story that everyone should know. I only put it down because I had to go to work and sleep.

I recently have been sucked down the rabbit hole of reading Holocaust novels and this one is definitely worth the read! If you enjoy this read I would highly recommend checking out the author Mandy Robotham.
